Photo Show Entrant Information
Photographers of all ages and abilities are invited to enter The Friends of the Kickapoo Valley Reserve Photography Show. This year, accepted photographs will be displayed online at kickapoofriends.org and featured in a full-color 2012 calendar. Submissions Deadline: October 15, 2011
Entry Info: Photographs should be taken of subjects and scenes of the Kickapoo Valley and may be in black & white or color - scenic views, recreation, close-ups, wildlife - submit up to 3 images in jpg format. Friends of KVR will display accepted images on their website: kickapoofriends.org. Submissions close at midnight, October 15, 2011.
A panel of three judges will select 12 photographs for the 2012 Friends of KVR calendar. These photographs will be displayed at the KVR visitor center where visitors may vote on “Best of Show” in each of Adult and Student divisions from among the 12 photographs displayed. These images will also be shown on the website on the Calendar Photographs page. These photographs will be displayed at the show’s opening, when Best of Show winners will be announced, based on the visitors’ votes. Each Best of Show winner will receive a calendar. All 12 calendar selection photographers will receive the print of their photograph after the show ends. A DVD featuring photographs from the show will be presented to the public during the show’s opening.
