Old Highway 131 Open on the 4th! Once again, the Old Highway 131 Trail on the Kickapoo Valley Reserve will be open to vehicle traffic on July 4th. This very popular event allows folks to travel the old state highway that connected La Farge to Rockton. The road will be open from noon to 4 pm. Entrance to the road will be from the south end of the Reserve (take Seeleyburg Road just north of the ballpark in La Farge, then Corps Road after you cross the river) with traffic moving north. Vehicles can exit the trail at County Highway P or continue on to Rockton.

Help At The Fair! Come to the Kickapoo Country Fair in La Farge on July 26-27. The Friends of the Reserve will be selling brats & hot dogs at the fair and need volunteers to help at the food stand. Contact Friends' member Becky Zahm at rebecca.zahm@organicvalley.coop for more information. See you at the Fair!

Return To The Reserve The Kickapoo Valley Reserve is open for business once again! After extensive flooding in early June, most trails and campsites are again open to use. Trails north of Rockton are still closed in many places, but the river is now open for canoeing from Ontario to La Farge. Trails & campsites south of Rockton are open. All state and local roads around and to the Reserve have been repaired and are open. Come back to the Kickapoo this summer!
